Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Santiago believes in music as an art form of communication and healing.

 

After graduating from Berklee College of Music with a dual-degree in Film Scoring and Jazz Performance, Santiago has gone on to score multiple films premiering at festivals including the Pasadena International Film Festival, Women’s Nevada Film Festival, Oniros Film Awards, New York International Film Awards, New York Movie Awards, Florence Film Awards, Animation Block Party and more.

 

Currently he assists award winning composer Osei Essed as an orchestrator, musical arranger, and additional writer in projects such as HBO's Katrina Babies, How to Survive a Pandemic, Obama: In Pursuit of a More Perfect Union. Showtime's The Lincoln Project, Apple+ Lincoln's Dilemma , and many more.

As part of the BIPOC community, Santiago strives to work in projects advocating for human rights,

and equality for all.
